Gordon who died Monday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown. Jim was born April 23, 1946, in Warren, a son of Russell and Marie (Peppeard) Gordon. Jim was a graduate of Grand Valley High School and was an U.S. Army veteran. He sold cars for over 40 years, working for several dealerships in the area. Jim was a member of the church, an usher and was instrumental in starting their Annual Wine Tasting Fund raiser, which he then chaired for several years. He loved to golf, enjoyed Ohio State football, the Cleveland Browns and Youngstown State University football games, especially the tailgates held at YSU. Jim leaves his wife, the former Maxine Bindas, whom he married June 24, 1988; two daughters, Kimberly (Mike) Palumbo of Niles and Kellie (Jerry) Titchnell of Concord, N.C.; stepson Craig (Nicole) Marian of Chicago; stepdaughter Jen (Jared) Wolf of Twinsburg; five grandchildren, Anthony and Lexie Palumbo, Jessica and Natalie Titchnell and Addison Wolf; one brother, Douglas (Kahdija) Gordon of Arizona; and one sister, Jeannie (Ron) Miller of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Diane Marcum. Family and friends may call today from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
